Removing and re-using screw piles

Multiturn Screw Piles can be easily unscrewed, removed, and economically re-used. The same rotation that installs the pile extracts it, without excavating around the footing.

Piles have been extracted and relocated without damage to the surrounding ground. That suits temporary structures, site sheds, modular buildings and sites that change use after their first build.

Footings, platform, re-use

The Multiturn process runs in three stages. Shaft size and wall thickness are selected for the footings, the steel helix is married with the chosen platform or leg arrangement, and the pile is recovered when the structure no longer needs it.

Treating all three as one decision keeps removal from becoming an afterthought.

Material efficiency

The reduced diameter of the Multiturn helix, which provides the 2x bulb factor, represents up to 30% cost savings on materials compared to traditional screw pile designs.

It also allows for the certification of the load capacity and reduces the need and expense for load testing. The design is backed by the Bekker Bulb Theory.
